Looking at all the crazy bundle deals and how cheap they are, I was wondering, how the hell can Steam make money doing this? After all, if Skyrim, plus New Vegas and all expansions, plus some other Bethesda games are being offered for a mere $50, less than Skyrim is supposed to cost alone, then this is very lucrative for gamers and terrible for Steam, right?
Then it hit me. I don't actually want any of these games or bundles, because all games that I want to play I already have anyway. And yet here I was seriously contemplating purchasing some of these games, simply because the sales were too amazing to pass up. Someone on Valve's marketing team deserves a medal.

The steep sales generate more players/buzz, and the games sell more afterward at normal price.

Thanks for the tip - my computer can't handle CK2, but CK1 seems promising so far.

Half-Life 2 is well worth playing, even years after the fact. I can't speak to the episodes. *NM*
