It seems the creators admitted their mistakes from the rushed and vague original endings. This new DLC gives a lot more closure after the endings that left the fan base rather unhappy. We finally get to see more about the consequences of Shepherd's decision and his friends' fate. So much better!

The other alternative endings (including a Rejection one) are linked within the clip below.

I thought the extended endings were pretty cool. Even if I disagree with certain aspects about them, I think I (maybe as well as a others?) would have had no complaints if they would have just put that stuff in there from the start. It didn't seem like that much extra story telling that they couldn't have gotten it in before the game was released. Kinda seems like the forgot (somehow...) that most of us that played these games knew enough and enjoyed enough of the games to WANT a clear explanation of some things lol. As far as the rejection ending? I half think that was VERY clever of them. Now there can be another mass effect game post Shepard, where the Reaper problem (among what ever other game things) is finally figured out for good. Also a very good "piss off" to all those that freaked out about the original endings lol.
