I hated the ending - Edit 1

The ending was a huge let-down. I'm not even a big Mass Effect fan but I felt personally affronted that the plot was so shallow. Killing all organic life because they're afraid of being subjugated themselves? That officially makes them the most superficial race in the galaxy, except perhaps for the Krogan.
I was convinced that destroying the reapers was a mistake because they use the biological energy to hold off some greater evil, or some decent parallel to that effect. Highly disappointing.
The game was a lot of fun though. I liked 3 and 2 equally, and 1 the least. Mass Effect 2 had a much better ending. The cuts scenes in this newest edition were fantastic. They cut several things like hacking doors and planet mining, but it didn't irritate me too much.
I played paragon as usual and because I didn't choose renegade options at the end I died, and so did Anderson. It was kind of embarassing because I was demonstrating the game to someone and showing the power of choice.
