Holy smokes the opening part of the game is slow. I founded a new city (after my capital) and it said it would take a minimum of 30 turns to build a scout ... the most basic unit (I think), and 70 turns to build the most basic buildings.
I always thought CIV Revolutions went too fast, but that's preferable to this immensely slow pace. I'll try again at a later point.
(Also the game is a memory hog GBs) and it runs slow on my 3 year old laptop . Poor laptop.

I personally hated it for I loved civ4, it just moves so slow, and you feel no reward for building

Yes ... I played Civ: Revolutions (I think it's Civ 4 for Playstation, heavily dumbed down) ...

Tried the demo, played for half an hour, felt like I didn't accomplish *anything*, uninstalled. *NM*
