Don't want to go into details...need to get back to game...so I will get straight to the point. What's up with the rendering? Is that the right word? I have Dell Studio computer that has 8 GB DDR3, a 1 GB graphics card (can't remember which one but it's pretty good), and a 3.0 ghz processor (I think). But I have to play on medium settings. High is too herky-jerky. But even on medium stuff is continuously rendering right in front of me. During conversations the camera will go back to a character and they will be very bland for about a second before the detail comes back. What gives?

That really makes me wonder what frame rate I'm getting with a 5850 card...

FRAPS itself can lower framerates. If you have a keyboard w/ an LCD display, there are apps.

Well, if you're recording it will. I doubt it's noticeable just for a framerate display. *NM*

No, it's framerate spikes on certain planets. The game is terribly optimized. *NM*
