I assume there's an explanation for that somewhere in the game, but I stopped paying attention before I was ever told what it was.
This one actually makes more sense than you'd think. The Forsaken (free-willed undead led by Sylvanas) hate the Scourge (mindless undead led by Arthas) possibly more than anyone else. They've lost quite literally everything because of the Scourge. Sylvanas serves as something of a linchpin between the Blood Elves and the Forsaken. Also, the Forsaken helped the Sin'dorei retake Silvermoon, so they're owed a debt.
