…however Gears 3 is a step up. My main problem was that Gears 1 and 2 were just about guys with chainsaw guns, there was no story. So while the gameplay and everything was fun, I had a hard time getting into those games. Gears 3 though is totally different. They use character development to tell the story and you end up getting pulled in by the end. Other that that, it is everything you would expect from Epic, the controls are nice, great pacing, multiplayer is fun but it can be challenging, horde mode is a blast and there is beast mode (you play as the Locust) which I haven’t tried yet. I really didn’t want to buy this game, but I am glad I did.
