Made you look.
No really, this article contains some useful, if totally speculative information.

Here are my reasons for thinking an MMO is in the works:
1. Besthesda already rules the RPG world. I simply don't know what Bethesda can do to make a distinguishably better RPG than they have already produced. ES3 and 4 were both brilliant. At some point you have to try your hand at something new to advance as a studio.
2. $$$. See WoW.
3. Bethesda acknowledges it has super secret stuff in the works, but REFUSES to say they are developing ES5. Their CEO has said there are no current plans for ES5 (implication-RPG). Problem is no company leaves millions of copies sold on the table. To me these things taken together reek of MMO.
4. The conditions are right for a successful MMO. Lets look at what warcraft had before WoW came out.
1. Dedicated Fans-Check
2. Big physical world, "epic" if you will-Check
3. Race / Class Variety-Check
4. Somewhat interesting Lore-Check
5. Big budget-Check
I would bet Bethesda is aiming to release its MMO sometime during when it expects WoW to wain (2011/12 ish) and before Blizzard releases its new MMO (2015 ish prolly)
Speculate away!

I sure hope not. Part of what makes TES a great series is being in YOUR OWN world.

The reason Elder Scrolls is good is because it isn't multiplayer. MMORPGs suck. *NM*
