I owned more games for GC than I have ever owned for any other system

It was underpowered, and had few amazing exclusive titles. And the ones it did have were the Nintendo staples. Zelda. Metroid. Mario Kart.
Those were all really fun, but compare that to the revolution that was Xbox Live, or the stacks of amazing RPGs for the PS2? Doesn't compare.

Excepting the NES, the PC, and I may have passed it with the DS.
And a lot of them weren't Nintendo. The various Resident Evil games. Skies of Arcadia: Legends. Baten Kaitos (with Origins being the far better of the two). Ikaruga. The Monkey Ball series. Eternal Darkness. Then there's the multi-platforms where it had the best versions: RE4, Viewtiful Joe, Killer7, Twin Snakes, etc. (With many of those having the 'cube versions come out months if not years prior, to boot). And that's not even touching on the various Nintendo games on it, which aren't even limited to the ones everyone talks about - Cubivore was great, for example.
As far as "underpowered" is concerned, the Dreamcast was the least powered of the generation, followed by the PS2. Gamecube and Xbox were close to one another, and the GC had one or two bullet points where it was better, but overall the Xbox was more powerful, largely because of various limitations (optical storage being the foremost in my mind).
The 'cube was an awesome little system - if you didn't get to realize this, you weren't paying attention and I kinda feel bad you missed out.
I owned 37 'cube games and of those, I'd say only three or so weren't worth the purchase (and all three were gifts :v)

Everyone says Nintendo is stupid for the things they do...

It could, of course, be the new Gamecube. *NM*

It's possible. I'm not saying this is a guarantee, but we've seen how the DS & Wii have printed $$$. *NM*

It's still not something Nintendo wants.

Please. It picked up at the end of its lifespan, but it doesn't come close to XBox or PS2

Gamecube was the top of my leaderboard in quantity and quality of titles owned, too. Until the 360.

Same here. In fact, I'd go so far as to say it has the best library of any console I've ever had.

I came across a "fact sheet" earlier today listing most of what's known about the Wii U.

It's all about the games, and we haven't seen those yet. But I have some concerns.

What does Nintendo have against processing power? You don't HAVE to cripple yourself!

Only one Wii U controller per system. That's a big downer, IMO, even if they'd be pricey for 2+

I think it uses Wii remotes with pointer controls. Not sure though.
