I happened to love Dragon Age 2. Thought it was a neat change of pace for an RPG, a rags-to-riches story that I found interesting. You don't buy Bioware games for the fighting, but I thought it was a solid improvement of the First Game as they sort out how they want it to work for this RP.
It was definitely a middle chapter, but did that effectively, I thought, raising the stakes from the first chapter and completing its own story while still ratcheting up the tension for the third.
And yeah, that guy is a bit of an idiot. But the internet has enough of those to not worry me too much.
