I think the fact that most NPC possibilities go either way is kind of weird. - Edit 2

Yes, Bioware has them programmed to cater to any version of the player, but it's still weird. It is also a little weird that they all hit on you after a certain amount of favor is gained. (though I've only played DA:O, not DA2) I wanted to get Zevran to the point where he'd train my male Rogue as an Assassin, but then had to derail his flirt train in the process. That's a little annoying, but not something I'd write a strongly-worded letter about.

As much as I love Bioware games, in-game romances are almost always a bit creepy. It's wish fulfillment for few, mediocre for most and painful to watch for the rest of us. Also, most of the ones I've seen amount to talk->gift->talk->gift->talk->sex=win. They treat sex like it's supposedly the ultimate point in a relationship. I do recall Aerie being able to have a baby in BG2, but I think it only amounted to an extra inventory item. I get that this isn't real life relationship sim or anything, but if you're gonna include it...

Hey... at least the dog didn't hit on me. ;)

Alyx Vance from HL2 is still the best in-game female there is. She's smart, well-written, has a wide range of emotion and good sense of humor. She even keeps her clothes on the whole time. <3 Valve for getting it.
