I know I'm a few years behind, but my wife just bought me the GOTY edition of Fallout 3 for valentines day.
RPG's are my games of choice, but lately I haven't played hardly anything. The only expections are Fable 2 a few years ago, and Mass effect 1 and 2.(Which i've played probably a dozen times each!)
It's been a long time since I've played a really in-depth RPG like this though and I'm at a bit of a crossroads about what would be the best way to work my stats for a first playthrough.
I have to admit I'm a bit intimidated by the shear realism in everything from items wearing out to have to watch out for accumulated radation sickness. All in all though, it looks awesome and i've been waiting years to play it!

Repair is important. Pick lockpick or science, not both. (pick vs hack) Spec high in one gun type.

I always raised both, and would always pick the safe/door then hack the terminal.
