Especially with Bioware devs making statements like (exact wording from one of the designers) this one:

'Kotor 3? Yes, it's called "The Old Republic" and it is KOTOR 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8!'

Basically, the idea is that The Old Republic is supposed to be a far more solo-friendly and story-centric MMO than most, and as such should fill the void.

They're wrong, of course. Simply by being a traditional MMO they destroy half the qualities you'd find in a good single player RPG. Things like immersion, impact of your actions, the ability to experience all the content yourself, focused production quality, etc.
