All I want is a mildly original world that has interesting politics and a wide variety of choices while maintaining an interesting story (or at least a facsimile thereof)!


If you install in English and give it a chance, then The Witcher definitely has this. You'd have to play past the first chapter, though, because it picks up pace once you get into the city.
The sword might be grateful to the forge fire, but never fond of it.
