Remember how Mass Effect 1 had LOADS of vendor trash? Like, you'd literally go down your inventory, and sell off half of the items in there? That's what Dragon Age turned into.
Exactly. That was one of my issues with the game. The PS3 interface of the game certainly didn't help this out.
Then look at Mass Effect 2. Sure there were some things people complained about, but you can't deny the inventory and equipment system was extremely streamlined.
I haven't played much ME2 yet, my PC couldn't handle it. I have a PS3 copy set to come my way very very soon. Though.
For Dragon Age 2, I'd want them to keep the large, expansive environments of Dragon Age, but try to streamline the equipment a bit more. I still like having a bunch of different magic items- ME2 maybe got rid of too much equipment- but I wouldn't mind not having to micromanage 50 non-magical short swords every time I returned to camp.
I would like that as well. There are a few other things that I would like them to work out as well. From all the things that I have heard, DA 2 sounds like it will be a pretty good game. I will certainly be checking it out.

I can see being disappointed by it, though I still enjoyed it a lot. Mass Effect 2 ruined it, for me
