(I also like the temperature and noise to be lower during idle use, something that ATI vastly improved with the 5000 and 6000 series.)
Yeah... I've been doing some more reading about these cards, and it seems like, on a like-to-like comparison, ATI cards are generally quieter, cooler, and less power-hungry than NVIDIA ones as well. Plus, I find that I have a few extra $$ that I could spend on my system and I'm trying to decide whether I should spend that towards a better graphics card (like in the GTX470 range, which runs hot and loud) or upgrade from i5 to i7. I'm leaning towards the latter since it seems like it will be easier to swap cards (or add a second one) later than it would be to swap 1156 to 1366, which would require a new mobo and all.
In need of graphics card advice. (edit with update)

That's the card in my new iMac. Well, according to Apple, at least...

A 9800GT is roughly equivalent to a 5670. *NM*

Your card isn't an ati hd5670, it is about 75% as fast as an 8800gt

ATI Mobility HD5730 is almost the same as the desktop ATI HD5670 but it is closer to ATI HD5570

One thing you didn't mention is what resolution you're trying to run at.

Glad to hear it's working. That kind of performance is much more what I'd expect from a 5670. *NM*

That didn't stop me from getting the 5770 so that I would have a "buffer zone" of peformance gains

Nice to know that someone selling these actually knows what they're talking about.
