I don't think Zerg is the weakest race anymore. It probably was when the game was first released, but nerfs to Terran and Protoss and some buffs in recent patches have brought them up to par or better. What makes you say Zerg is the weakest race? Some of the best/most successful players play Zerg.

Anything that hurts void rays makes me happy. Maybe one day I will forgive the inclusion of them in the game. And you have obviously never played with roaches if you think cannons are weak against them; this at least makes them moderately useful in early game. They're pretty useless before you have speed upgrade.

Hmm, I see you don't like void rays I don't know whats so hard about them. Just get some queens and you're fine. Unless you let them get 4 or more, it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

And roaches are good against cannons. They have so much hp. It takes a cannon like 8 shots to kill a roach. A roach has about 75% the hp and attack of a cannon (and 1 armor for the roach vs 0 for the cannon) costs less resources, and takes half as long to build a roach as it does for a cannon.

I can count the number of times I've gone up against carriers on my hands. I see corrupters against battlecruisers far more frequently.

Yes...? They're a good response to mass colossi as well.

I obviously am a diehard Zerg player; I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you favor Protoss.

I like playing Random. My race strength/comfort is Protoss>Zerg>Terran. I just like Protoss because of the lore. I think Zerg have the worst lore lol. Terrible reason, I know, but what can I say.

In an attempt to be objective, Zerg is so massively underplayed that anything which increases the number of Zerg players is good. I don't think Zerg is underpowered per se, but the level of skill required to counter void rays effectively is far, far greater than the skill required to amass void rays.

Yeah there aren't as many Zerg players. I think what throws some people off is that the macro-style is so different from Terran and Protoss, as is the game-plan.

As for your other point, massing void rays isn't easy to do unless the Protoss player isn't harassed at all. Usually massing void rays takes 2 bases/4 gas. Plus they will have to sacrifice an early army. VRs are expensive and not that hard to counter really. Queens do rather well, especially if you can micro enough to use transfuse and/or burrow. 1 queen costs 150 minerals, a void ray costs 250 minerals, 150 gas. 2 queens can take down a void ray. If you scout out a Stargate, start making more queens (or hydras).
