Oh, there's no doubt that the tech itself is great.

I've been fortunate enough to use it at a couple tech demos myself. I think the technology and the product itself is fantastic. But I don't have any faith in it's ability to succeed, or have games that make use of the tech in a way that justifies the cost,or make much of a splash, or do anything that Sony wants it to do in terms of attracting some of the Wii audience to it.
Hell, the "Wii audience" has all but evaporated, really. Most of them bought the Wii, enjoyed the novelty, and moved on. On to Facebook, internet, and an increasingly diverse casual game market, to be sure... but it's a market that has no room for expensive consoles, let alone expensive consoles with expensive peripherals.
Honestly, something like the Move is best suited for awesome downloadable games targeted at a hardcore market on the PSN or Xbox Live. The problem is that the stars never quite align to bring that tech, the business interest, and that market together.

I concur. For two to six months, it can be THE family get together toy of all time.

I don't run into annoying kids nearly enough for it to be an issue.

It might be my fault if I didn't frequent gaming and technology sites four times a day.

Over a million sold.....hmm sounds like you need to find new websites to frequent! *NM*

Sales to date are not a direct indicator of widespread knowledge of an exact release date.
