It means that WoW is 6 years newer than Baldur's Gate, and 6 years OLDER than a newly released modern game. Can you see where I'm going with this? If WoW has 6 years of improvement over Baldur's Gate, and a modern game has 6 years of improvement over WoW, then WoW is as inferior to a modern game as Baldur's Gate is to WoW.

From a TECHNICAL STANDPOINT, whether you measure that in texture detail, polygon count, minimum system requirements, or whatever, WoW is at least an order of magnitude below modern standards.

For instance, I currently have a rather low-end system which, for various reasons, I will not be upgrading any time soon.

Due to the aforementioned inclusive policy they use to maximize their player base, WoW runs fine on my computer.

I thought Dragon Age looked neat and wanted to try it. Regrettably, it was not compatible with my archaic video card, and the game was unplayable.

Now, I consider graphics that I can see on my computer to be superior to graphics that I cannot see on my computer. Therefore, from a TECHNICAL STANDPOINT, WoW has better graphics than Dragon Age: Origins.

For me anyway.
