Geas should be the most you do.
That and possibly a greater curse which activate under certain conditions.
Wish can also do similar things.

If this is 3.5 look at BOVD page 28 and 29 for additional ideas. Personally I think the reverse midas curse is particularly apt. Everything that the rogue touches turns to lead/unvaluable items until a wish, miracle, remove curse from a 17th level character, or you relocate the MacGuffin.
