Having more than 100 days played on my WoW account (not a lot, after almost six years), I'm well aware that Blizzard has been devoting most of their resources to other, non-Starcraft, projects. WoW is looking at its third expansion probably next spring, D3 is on the horizon as is HotS and LotV. Oh and there's another yet-unnamed project that will be a new IP for them we probably won't hear anything more about for another two years.

However, it's still irrelevant to my point that non-RPG single player games are considered acceptable when a play-through can be accomplished in less than 8 hours on Normal difficulty. It's that simple. Fanatic-Templar provided a number of examples of games with similar mission counts, and all took longer to play on Normal... which really only reinforced what I was saying (or so it seemed to me, anyways).
