Well no, I wouldn't re-buy a game. I almost never play old games, though. Aemon Send a noteboard - 17/06/2010 03:13:53 PM
Some people do, but those people can just play the games they already have in the standard way. This doesn't prevent them from doing that.

Also, I'm wondering how this, if it gains a significant user base, would affect game sale calculations. Steam can track its purchases down to the exact number, and everything brick & mortar is reported back via vendors. Would OnLive then just gobble up bunches of licenses, estimating the demand?

*shrugs* Why would it matter? Are game sale calculations really that important? I assume game companies will have to come up with custom licensing deals, but who cares? They might have to crunch some numbers for a week or two, but they'll still be paid for their work.

Not yet interested, but watching. I'm curious about how game ownership will work. (or not) *NM* - 16/06/2010 07:33:38 PM 225 Views
In the worst case, you buy for full price and pay 14.95 to play. - 16/06/2010 08:24:30 PM 507 Views
I can see that long-term, but the overlap of games I already own would be a huge rip-off. - 17/06/2010 02:49:19 PM 486 Views
