obviously beetnemesis likes at least some. For some gamers, it can be the most fantastically designed game in the world, but if the story is absent or sucks, or the characters it uses are about as developed as a paper doll in a coloring book, then we aren't interested in the slightest. It's a matter of preference.
Yes, using Skeletons for such a game preference is totally boring. There are so many other creatures they could have drawn upon. Imps, lesser demons, other types of undead, possessed humans and animals, etc...etc... Even spiders would fall in line with such a theme. I haven't played the game, but I have a feeling if such variety was present, beet wouldn't have complained about their lack. I know if I went through three bosses and all I saw was various trash undead, I'd be really bored too.
And a phalanx, at this point, is ALWAYS generic
