The last time Eyjafjallajökull erupted (before last month), in 1821, it went on for about two years.


Of course, given that they now they are afraid that Eyjafjallajökull is going to wake up Katla, things are likely to grow very hairy on Iceland. Let's hope the ashes fall down Somewhere Else™ if that happens.
