Re: Do you have travel insurance? Or an HSBC Advance Account?

Rebekah thinks you have the HSBC Advance Account (which used to be called a Plus Account). This comes with free travel insurance, and HSBC have announced that they will allow claims from travellers affected by the volcano, even though this kind of event is not covered by some policies. Their number is +44 1243 621 408. NB there's no requirement to tell HSBC you're going away before you leave, in case you were worried about that.
That is interesting. I'll have to look into it. If it is only for trips paid for with that card, I won't be covered, but I do have a plus account. I think I'll delegate to Tor.

Nope. Not in Europe anyway. I suspect Lesotho might be too far to go to get it.

Not so fast. The dirty French have told him he's not allowed to rescue people.

If you can get to Amsterdam, there are ferries to Newcastle.

It's nothing to do with the card you pay with. Travel insurance is a freebie with the Advance A/c.
