I never said that I DISAPPROVE of the government pursuing those people. I simply show you that you are inflating the problem. You are also engaging in the sort of idiocy that one usually sees on 24-hour news networks, rather than facing facts.

The term "tax haven" originally meant what you seem to think it still does. However, a lot has changed since then (the Tax Code changes on a weekly basis when you take into account no-action letters, rules and regulations and interpretations). We don't listen to 8-track tapes or worry about the Soviet Union starting a nuclear war, either.

If all that's true it means we don't have to worry much about people fleeing an abusive US tax code; they can't avoid it by shipping their money overseas and they won't avoid it by shipping themselves overseas to places with higher taxes, lower living standards and/or harsher governments.

The suggestion, however, which I grant wasn't yours even if I thought you were supporting it (sorry) that the tax codes main problems lie in people with no money not paying more... well, if you want cable news fodder, there it is.... :rolleyes:
