While I certainly agree with you that homeschooling does not mean a child is not well socialized, it is possible for a home school kid to have socialization deficits if the parents does not create the opportunity to socialize. Just pointing that out to be a pain, though, I really do agree with you for the most part

A little girl I used to babysit was homeschooled for a while in an interesting set up. She's OCD, Bipolar and Tourettes, so needless to say, public or even private school was a big struggle for her when she was really young. So for a while she was home schooled. But she went to kind of a "home school" school. She did most her work and learning at home, but once or twice a week, she'd go to "school" and have to show she'd been working, spend some time with her classmates, and stuff like that. I thought that was a very nice compromise.

Of course, I've always thought most of her "problems" were learned behavior. Not to say she did not have serious problems (because anyone who's seen this girl go into a panic attack cannot deny that she has some mental problems), but a lot of the interpersonal issues she has are because her mom is an idiot and doesn't understand the meaning of "discipline" or "parenting", and tended to let her daughter just run ragged all over her.
