It was that point in our lives when we thought it was time to add to our little family... I wantd a dog... she wanted a cat...

well as I type this 2 small kittens are running around our apartment on crack... any advice for a new cat owner??

...for endless cleaning of cat-hair. It will get everywhere, on everything. Go out now and buy at least 4-5 hair/lint-rollers...keep 2 at home, 1 in the car, 1 at work. Go out now and buy a number of extra vacuum bags/filters. Go out and buy a few cat hairbrush's. A hint regarding cleaning up cat-hair from rugs or other type surfaces: use a cat hair-brush! Buy one strictly for this use (or 2, it may wear out quickly). I suggest one of the more dense-type of brushes with many small, metal prongs. My cats hate that brush on them (they like a less-dense, plastic brush), but it works wonders with carpets.

Oh yeah, and have fun. Cats are great.
