How the flying f*ck do you botch the lighting of the torch? How the hell does that happen? All that money for this sh*t. Goddamn.


I was really hoping this would be more like the Chinese opening ceremony, in that it would be more cultural. Although I get really pissed off when people in North America use the Native American groups as a cultural representation, I wish the Canadians would have given them more of a tip of their hats.

(I'm normally pissed because it is like, "here, we took all of your land, destroyed your civilizations, sterilized your women, but here...dance a jig for us for 10 minutes and then we'll send you back to the reservation with some booze and a couple dollars for your shabby schools that we refuse to fund.)
