It's one of about 5 newspapers in Australia with affiliated websites.
I do watch the news on TV occasionly too.
It's supposed to be reasonable. It's probably about as good as most other newspapers, since the articles all seem to be reposted to/from elsewhere.
I do try to read/watch things I don't agree with, but the others are much more pleasant. Mostly because I don't feel the need to find the 20 or more holes in the arguements used.
I don't comment here all that much either.
I usually read the comments on the Age if they are available, and stop if they stop looking interesting. The comments are usually ok.
1. Do you primarily read or watch?
I do watch the news on TV occasionly too.
2. Everybody may fudge on the question, but do you think that show/site/paper/mag/etc is biased or reasonably fair?
It's supposed to be reasonable. It's probably about as good as most other newspapers, since the articles all seem to be reposted to/from elsewhere.
3. Do you find yourself reading/watching things that fit your view, or do you try to pick other sources to make yourself read/watch something you find less pleasant (be honest!)?
I do try to read/watch things I don't agree with, but the others are much more pleasant. Mostly because I don't feel the need to find the 20 or more holes in the arguements used.
4. Other than read and find out, do you contribute comments to websites (having to do with news, political debates, etc- not exactly talking youtube here)?
I don't comment here all that much either.
5. Do you typically read the comments, regardless of whether you participate? While we're on the subject, can you name a site where one can generally find semi-reasonable comments?
I usually read the comments on the Age if they are available, and stop if they stop looking interesting. The comments are usually ok.
