My parents do. Lupine Send a noteboard - 10/02/2010 04:44:29 PM
And I've tried to understand information about my policy from the website; for that matter I enlisted Paul's help with it when he was here, and neither of us could find anything more than very general, unhelpful stuff. Only way to get information really is to call.

If it's your parents, then they've been given your coverage data. If it's you, do they have your correct address? I've never seen anyone not get the details of their policy at least once.

In theory they should have the information, maybe pamphlets and written policies, but I have a lot of reasons to think they either won't tell me the truth or don't understand insurance language. (The biggest one is that they insisted I wasn't even ON the plan for months, until I finally called the insurance company directly and was assured that I absolutely was covered, and would be for another five years.)

In your case, unless you have insane insurance, tests and specialty care coordinated by your PCP should be covered, minus whatever the applicable copays are.

Okay, thanks. I know it may seem extremely self-evident to you, but trying to understand health care stuff on your own for the first time is not that easy. It's tough even knowing what questions to ask the insurance company.
