I went to the store with my dad once on a Sunday morning Darth_Katie Send a noteboard - 04/02/2010 07:38:50 PM
and he tried to buy some beer and wine for a party. They let him buy the wine, but not the beer ... because it wasn't noon yet. I don't know if that's still the law around here or not, but that in particular has always stuck me as quite ridiculous. If someone really wants to get drunk before noon on Sunday, keeping the beer away is not going to stop them if they can just buy wine instead. :P
