I'm not new, but am optimistic there are people who are, and that there will soon be many (it is only two months till TGS, after all. ) I think Maddy or someone had a quote in her sig to the effect an oldbie is just a newbie with a lot of spam in their stats, and that seems more often than not true. Bill Gates had his first time, too, though hopefully we don't get anyone THAT evil!
