1. I love them if they are good. There have to be at least some memorable songs. Obviously the more the better. I have little patience with mediocre music.
2. I am okay with listening to male opera singers but there are few sopranos that I can listen to. I am trying to change that and broaden my musical tastes. It is a glacial process but it is happening.
3.Fiddler on the Roof hands down!
4.The quality of the music, film and story. It has such a profound message! I am not sure that most people catch what that message is. Or at least that they caught what I see as the main message. I suppose it is debatable.
5. I don't have a favorite opera but there are several songs that I enjoy from different ones. I am pretty picky as I have already said. I'm not saying that I am right in my pickiness. As I became more familiar with classical music my ability to enjoy a wider variety increased. I assume the same will happen with opera. I don't know if that will ever happen with reggae.
6. The songs that I enjoy are just ones that make me feel. I don't know what they are singing about but my heart still reaches out for it.
