OK, not really him so much...but he was one of the characters in "Shoeless Joe", which the movie "Field of Dreams" was based on. In the movie his character was Terence Mann played by James Earl Jones.
Yeah...Catcher in the Rye was not one my favorites, but I think he earned his place in history.
