It was obvious to me before the playoffs began that the Cowboys didn't belong. They never really played all that well this year. And they play in the NFC, so their record should get a minus 2.
I mean, if you're in the playoffs, its INEXCUSABLE for you to let a team run up the score against you. I mean, Minnesota did the right thing. They came out and established that they are not going to let a team comeback on them. They'll play hard until the end. If you want to win at this stage of the year, you have to do your damn best to make sure there is no chance for a comeback and you want other teams to feel like they have to either play at your level and pace all game long or go home.
Minnesota showed how bad they wanted to win. Cowboys showed that they belonged in the playoffs about as much as Detroit.

The NFC East is year in and year out the toughest Division in football; personally, I've always thought that, if anything, their records are UNDERrepresentative because they play almost half their season against each other. When the NFC East doesn't send two teams to the playoffs, it's because they sent three. Anyone who can rise to the top of that is, by definition, a good team. The Vikings are just better, but I don't think that surprises anyone except the people who expected Reggie Bush, Brett Favre and Peyton Manning to forget how to play football after a month off the field. Anyway....
Sportsmanship isn't about what you CAN do but what you're WILLING to do. And that TD pass at the end was showing off at their opponents expense (and significant injury risk. ) The suggestions Dallas could still win at that stage are not credible; I've entertained them only because even if that WERE a valid concern, kicking the FG is STILL the best way to a four score lead. Kick or go home; what the Vikings did is the kind of crap I'd expect of Buddy Ryan. Sure, they could do it; doesn't make it right.
The NFC East is far from the toughest Division in football. They're just all on the same level. They're in the NFC for crying out loud. The whole conference is weak. They had three teams with winning records against the AFC, vs. 7 from the AFC who had winning records against the NFC. I mean, the AFC was 37-27 against the NFC. The Cowboys beat a grand total of 4 teams with a winning record, and you could add one to that number as a team without a losing record. So they beat 5 teams that didn't have a losing record. That's not so impressive.
Your mom. That's right. The cat is out of the bag. Your mom.

If you think they're still in it, ice it with the FG; if you don't, kneel down and go home.
