It was a pointless TD unless they just wanted to make Dallas look bad: "We can score on you at will, and have so little respect for you we don't mind calling risky plays to do it, because you're too worthless to win anyway. " When Cumberlands baseball team beat GA Tech 22-0 it was running up the score, which is why John Heisman didn't mind beating Cumberlands football team 222-0 shortly later. That wasn't a game, it was an object lesson, one the Vikings evidently missed.
