Mamma Mia!'s soundtrack is too fun to listen to

My daughter would agree. She's just getting into talking but can sing some of those songs already. She will watch that film over and over and over...

1. Have you done anything in 2010 you said you were going to?

Yes, actually. I'm actually into and staying with an exercise program at long last. Making the time was tough but I'm already seeing benefits in improved health and endurance. Clearly my body likes working out again. Less migraine problems, less panic attack thingys, more energy.

I just have to be a bit careful with the weights though. I tend to bulk fast and don't want to overdo that.

2. Are you enjoying 2010?

Yes and no. A lot of stressors still undealt with and nowhere near enough time for myself. Some improvements though. Getting some painting done and reached a two year goal in EVE.

3. What do you plan on calling the years from 2010 to 2019?

They need a name?

I dunno. The years I refuse to let getting older bug me?

4. Any BIG plans for 2010?

Some. Amy and I are already planning a week long camping trip now that I get three weeks of holidays. Our conventions (all three of them) are now part of the North American GT circuit which is going to mean even more work and probably higher attendance. We're also talking about adding another event in Dallas Texas this summer sometime. That's still up in the air though.

Oh, and I'm getting broken.

5. How was your 2009? Glad it's over?

A. Name five good things that came out of 2009

Yes, I'm glad it's over. Lots of health issues and stress.

As to good things:

Melissa's back on track for talking and is resolving into a very pleasant little girl. Determined, precocious and stubborn, but pleasant. She's already learned good manners. If she hands you something and you say thank you, you always get a 'You're welcome' back.

Started real renovations on the third floor of the house and one room is nearly complete. The first people to stay in it were some friends who are music folks who were visiting doing a 'house concert' in our living room. They also played live at our wedding so it was really cool to see them again.

Travelling out to Alberta for Amy's mom's wedding. It was a long time in the car and I was both tired and burnt out but Melly was an ANGEL. We raced a storm back into Winnipeg that was strong enough that it overturned a semi truck behind us.

Got some modelling work done - a fair bit of it in fact given how little has been going on. I've more to do and am really excited about it. Also got my painting desk cleaned and reorganized as part of that (which doesn't sound like much save that I only do it once every several years so it's always a huge job).

As of Xmas Eve completed my goal of being a carrier pilot in EVE Online. Amy bought me the actual ship as a Christmas present. Sure, it's just pixels, but it's pixels that took her, literally, months of real world time to earn.

I'm going to add another one. Got asked to be Best Man at a good friend's wedding. Since I know how is brain works I am somewhat humbled by the level of trust and closeness that conveys for him.

6. Have you seen any movies yet? (I know it's only nine days in, but there's so many!)

Not yet. We're HOPING to take in Avatar tomorrow night to celebrate a friend's birthday.

7. I finally downloaded skype! Your opinions on it? Do you use it, love it, hate it, never use it?

Never used it - so no opinion. I like Ventrilo though.

9. I am considering getting a BlackBerry or a Droid phone. Any suggestions?

Not that impressed with the Blackberry. My best friend has an iPhone though and those things ROCK. I want one but just can't justify the monthly cost of the dataplan etc.

10. Does anyone out there still enjoy coloring as much as I do?

Only in 3d although I'm doing more colouring book stuff with Melissa now. She LOVES drawing and painting.

11. Did you miss me over the last few months? :D

Yes, and you still owe me a NB with an address. I have a book here waiting to be sent to you.
May God stand between you and harm in all the empty places you must walk.
