I don't expect the non-Americans here to score perfectly, which makes our proportion of perfect scores all the more impressive. Once again, we is smrt.
That body of data for comparison is simply based of a random sample of americans answering over the phone, not people taking it on the web, which of course is sort of necessary since people can't leap to wikipedia over the phone. I very much doubt they are collecting data for analysis off of web hits, since right from the get go, not including the wiki-cheater option, anyone who ends up at Pew is probably not likely to represent a clean demographic slice, anymore than if the quiz were at the RNC or DNC websites.
This should actually represent the same sort of slice you get with a Leno man on the street bit, so the scores aren't too bad.
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.
