That seems like a good way to fuck up your internal clock something serious. I work from 6:30 pm - 11:30 pm wednesday through friday, and 9:00am - 2:00 pm saturday and sunday....but it's a fixed schedule, so it doesn't really bother me.
Normally I wouldn't tolerate this in a job, but as I get a 30% bonus for working when I do, it allows me to work on average 30 hours a week (I know, the math makes 25 hours, but I trade my weekend shifts for 8 hour shifts to make a bit more money), but still get paid as if I was working full time. To me it's a fair trade off, and it lets me do what I will with my days.
I think the schedule they're doing would be ok.....You could probably get used to it after a while, and if the shifts are at least the same each week, then your body would probably just adjust and you'd be ok.

Has anyone here had any experience working odd hours/shifts at your job?

Yeah. At Target they did something kind of like that, and they also had an inconsistent way
