So yeah. For anyone wondering where I have been, and all that, I had the baby on Friday the 13th. I had to have another C-section. He was 7 pounds, 2 ounces and 20 and a half inches long with a full head of dark brown hair. His eyes are already turning green. His name is Corbin Lee.

Shortly after he was born, he was taken to the NICU where he stayed for six days. He was breathing too fast, and he had swallowed too much fluid when he was being pulled out of me and a lot of it went into his lungs. They put an IV in him to give him fluids and antibiotics. It was very hard for me to see that because the only place they could put it was in the top of his head. Because of his breathing problems a feeding tube was also put in his nose. I only got to hold him for a few minutes at a time once I was able to get out of bed since I had several wires attached to me as well. I wasn't allowed to nurse him until late Sunday night because of his breathing.

Once his breathing started to calm he started to have a few other problems and was still on the IV so he had to stay in the NICU. They also wouldn't take the feeding tube out until they were sure that he was getting enough from nursing. Also, because of the surgery, I had to be wheeled back and forth to where he was being kept so I could feed him. Feedings were my only chance to hold him.

We were allowed to finally bring him home on Thursday. He is fine now, and usually very happy. He hates diaper changes and stuff like that though.

As for me, this baby will be my last. I was informed during the surgery that I am not to carry to term again, and later my doctor went into more detail, telling me that when she got to my uterus, the area below the scar from Isobel's C-section was stretched so thin that she could see through it. She was surprised that it didn't burst with Corbin. If it were to happen it would most likely kill the baby and myself, so I will have to be content with my one son and one daughter. I have also been incredibly tired due to lack of sleep and blood loss. That is why no one has heard from me since the day he was born.

But, now that I am back, relatively speaking, what's been going on with everyone else? I also plan on posting pics on the TEVT site once I remember how to do it.

And last but not least, the first Official TEVT Gathering, if we could all arrange to be either on MSN or on the TEVT site, I think a group discussion would be a good idea. Everyone lemmy know when would be a good time to talk everything out and so that taking care of the details can be started. Connor and Dan are also in on the planning, and I really hope everyone else can make it, and wants to make it, too.

But right now I have a screaming infant and an energetic small one wanting to pick him up. gtg. Love yall, bye.
