No. It's about not using a horribly ineffective strategy just to send a message to terrorists.

Are you actually willing to deliberately damage our own capabilities in hopes of making a good impression on the world? Wow.
And, y'know, satisfy a bloodthirsty visceral lust for revenge under the guise of "justice, " which I've never supported.
How, exactly, is this damaging our capabilities? Does it disarm a single soldier? Arm a single terrorist? Does it hurt the morale of the former to know that when he says he's fighting for justice, it's more than empty words? Does it help the morale of the latter to know that when he accuses America of injustice it IS just empty words?
This doesn't hurt us; we won't lose any intel because, let's face it, Mohammed hasn't just been sitting there twiddling his thumbs for six years: He's been interrogated. Thoroughly. Repeatedly. By multiple people from multiple agencies. The Departments of State and Defense could tell you what his third grade teacher had for breakfast twenty years ago. It won't aid or encourage our enemies, but just the opposite; it won't harm or discourage our soldiers or allies, but, once again, just the opposite. It will show that America is honest, truly stands for freedom and justice. And that people who try to rationalize mass murder by denying all these things are deranged, lying or both. If anything, it amuses me no end the rabid dogs will HELP US DO IT by admitting all their actions then trying to convince people they could ever be justified. This is the best thing to happen to us since Boeing came up with the Predator.
