Raise your hand if you didn't see that one coming.
So we've got two possibilities: either the Obama Administration realized this would happen and decided to press ahead in order to indirectly put the Bush administration on trial (as well as the CIA, FBI, and the military) while still at war, or they legitimately didn't see it coming, thought everything would be sunshine and rainbows, and thus proving themselves only slightly less competent than a gang of brain damaged toddlers. Either way, I'm not too impressed, and I doubt the radical Islamists will be either.

And the rest of the world will say, "Man, I knew these guys were starkers, but... wow.... " Their followers back home will say, "look what the Americans are doing to our brothers!!!" and their neighbors will say, "trying them for murder? Because if any of the rationalizations for the killing were true this trial wouldn't be occurring. "
Let them expose themselves as the lunatics and sociopaths they are, before the world; hearing it from their own lips does us more good than anything we could ever say ourselves. How convinced are you when you see one of bin Ladens attack tapes? About as convinced as militant Muslims are when they hear Bush call bin Laden an evildoer. Thus far the leaders of each side have been the other ones best recruiters. If I call you a murderer, well, there might be some reason to think me less than objective, but if you stand up and admit it, who will defend you...?
