Just don't phone her or contact her until the delivery is done. If she throws a fit just remind her that you told her in advance that the only person there would be your hubby.
When Amy had our little one we did have a couple of friends with us (a couple we are close friends with) so that in the event of a long labor there would be someone to spell off for bathroom breaks etc. It wound up being handy, but that was Amy's decision - not anyone else's (although I did get asked how I felt about it and was fine with it).
The point is - this is for your family to decide. You, and your hubby. No one else. Period.
