I'd say it's a small step above a netbook Brian Send a noteboard - 15/11/2009 04:09:47 PM
If you plan on using that as your primary computer, you may want to rethink things. A typical laptop screen is 14-17 inches, after all, depending on model. 11.6 is quite small. The keyboard will likely feel cramped, unless you have very small hands. Netbooks are great for extreme portability, traveling, etc, but if you "use your computer A LOT," you may not be satisfied with something so small.

Not a huge step...but a small step. That's just based on the processor, ram, and hard drive. Most netbooks have the Atom chip, 1-2 gigs of ram, and 120gig hard drive. This will at least run fairly nicely, but for the rest...yeah the keyboard will be cramped and it won't be very fun for multimedia stuff like watching movies.

Edit: Unless that chip is the Atom chip?? I can never keep up with Intels names vs numbers.

Well, keep in mind that you're talking about a netbook. The screen is only 11.6 inches. - 15/11/2009 03:43:45 PM 387 Views
