I'm not saying that men in our cultures (based on their roles) do not typically require more energy...

but if you were strictly speaking the requirements of the physiological demands of an at rest maintenance adult animal, the nutritional demands are approximately equivalent (no where near different enough to demand an intake difference)

Once you start throwing in "not at rest" states, the state with the highest nutritive demand is lactation, which last I checked, men don't do :P

I'm not saying you're necessarily wrong. After all, in a large portion of the world men have more physically intensive tasks, but on a strictly base physiological basis, there is no notable difference. At least as far as every other mammalian domestic animal species goes and I heavily doubt humans are different.
