While I will not say Buddist have never been involved in wars, you have to look pretty far back to find one with heavy involvement in fighting.
As for what Christanity teaches, well, I live in Kansas, the Bible belt buckel if you will. Preaching peace isn't something you see much of. We get alot of kill Muslims, and you'r going to burn in hell. I keep my religious beliefs to myself since they decided to protest the new age store downtown for selling incense and terot cards.
