I dont think you should worry about books being material attachments - in many ways they arent. At least in my mind. And a library? Great idea for people, but less good idea for the books. People dont treat librarybooks well, and you dont want your books to get folded corners and pencilwriting all through them. Keep them instead and let kind people borrow them. People that treat them with respect.


But you and I, if we go into the library, would treat the books with respect. Shouldn't we give people the benefit of the doubt and assume they would also treat them with respect?
