have thought for a long time about writing a post about repair facilities, explaining how mechanics get paid, explaining how to find a good dealership or independent shop, etc.
I think I will work on that and I think it would be a good post for this site.
Sorry you got jacked, that was boneheaded of the guy to do that. sometimes a part gets delayed in transit or a screw-up is made when ordering but there really isn't an excuse for the guy to not have ordered them if you agreed to the repairs.
