Oh. Sareitha Sedai Send a noteboard - 20/10/2009 01:32:59 PM
I wasn't aware he was late and unprepared because he was giving birth at the time of the presentation. ;)

The point is it happens to most people at some point and its difficult for a lot of people... have you ever thought that he might not want to ask for help, egos bruise easily.

So his ego was more important to him than his obligation? But that same ego wouldn't prevent him from expecting/accepting that his company lower their expectations of him and hold him to a lower standard than the rest of their employees?

We dont know all the facts as you say, but simply stating that if someone who "falls below company standard" after just having become a parent (sleepless nights and all) deserves to be sacked is a horrible thing to say. Obsiously if he wasn't good before the child and this has just exposed the problem further, then I can accept that, but for sacking an otherwise competent employee at a one off highly stressful time for making a mistake isn't right.

It could be if his "mistake" had consequences for the company beyond what they were willing to accept.

If you are from Betelgeuse, please have one of your Earth friends read what I've written before you respond. Or try concentrating harder.

"The trophy problem has become extreme."
